Every 6 years a powder extinguisher must be recharged. We replace the powder and check the proper functioning of the device. A verification collar and WHMIS label indicating the date of maintenance must be affixed in accordance with NFPA10. A hydrostatic test every 12 years must also be performed to prevent bursting.
Water Extinguishers, Type K, CO2
Every 5 years these types of fire extinguishers must be hydrostatically tested and then recharged. This ensures the proper functioning of the devices. A verification collar and WHMIS label indicating the date of maintenance must be affixed in accordance with NFPA10.
